8 years old!

It is hard for me to believe that 8 years ago today our first baby girl was born. How our lives are forever changed because of our Jennifer Michelle!
With the craziness of the past few weeks and not even being home as a family of five for a week, I must admit Jennifer's birthday did kind of sneak up on me! A few friends came over to help us celebrate Jennifer's birthday and of course we took her out to supper for a birthday dinner.

We had a pretty simple party but the whole point was just to celebrate Jennifer and I hope she felt celebrated. After playing a bit we decorated sugar cookies. Jennifer is not much for cake and lately she has been all about heart shaped cookies, so that is what she got!

 Of course there were presents!

 There was also a fun game of "Headbanz" for the kids. 

 And one more treat to get the kids all sugared up! Another favorite of Jennifer's is push-ups.

 Then it was out to eat. When we got there the waitress heard us mention that it was Jennifer's birthday and asked if we wanted them to sing to her. Of course we did! When Jennifer was almost done with her meal, the waitress came by and Jennifer looked at her and said, "Hey, will you go get the hat." She knew they were going to sing to her and she knew she was going to wear the big hat! It was too funny, she was ready!

 I could have never imagined 8 years ago when Jennifer was born what life with her would be like. There is never a dull moment with her, that is for sure. She keeps us on our toes and makes life interesting! Happy Birthday Sister!!
