Beach time

Several people asked us what we did while we were in Florida. We don't do any of the big parks, like Disney World. In fact we don't really do much of anything at all. We love to spend time at the beach, so honestly that is what we do.
And our girls love it!

I told Bill that I wanted a picture of the girls together on the beach. Of course getting them all to smile and look at the camera all at the same time is easier said than done.
This picture does make me laugh. If you look closely Kelly has a silly smile on her face. She was laughing at her sisters! How perfect while they were making funny faces.
Jennifer standing on her wave board with the help of Grammie of course.
Mikayla thought it was great to get buried in the sand! We started to take some of the sand off of her and she quickly said no and started putting the sand back on.
We did venture to a near by Children's Museum one day. The girls loved making pizza.

And then sadly our week came to an end and we had to come back to snow and cold. We had a great time enjoying a week of sun and warmth. A special thanks to Grammie for such a fun week!

Spring Break

For a few weeks earlier this winter there a discussion about going to Florida for spring break. At first we didn't know if it was going to work out or not. I was pretty sure it needed to work out! So we made the plans and finally picked the week that was going to work the best. And then winter set in and would not leave, in fact it still hasn't left! So we were very happy that we had made plans to leave the cold and snow, even if it was only for a few days.
This baby girl was loving to be outside! It was fun to watch her. She is definitely going to be an outside girl this summer!
And this girl is already an outside girl! She loved being in Florida at Grammie's.
Oh, this smile. This girl would swing all day if we would let her.
How nice it was to go to the park, with no coats! The sun felt so good after being cooped up for what feels like months.

We got to Grammie's house Friday afternoon and just did a little relaxing, But on Saturday, Jennifer was pretty sure we just needed to go to beach. So although we knew it would be a little windy and chilly by the ocean we decided to make the girl happy and head to the beach.
I wasn't sure how Kelly would like the wind or the sand. Usually if the wind hits her face she throws a little fit. But the wind on the beach did not bother her a bit! And she was all about feeling the sand. Like I said it was fun to watch her.
Despite the chill in the air these two had to get in the water!
And as always Mikayla was just content to play in the sand.
After a fun day outside we ended the day with a game of Headbandz!

sweet moments

As I was looking at our snowy pictures the other day I saw these pictures from a few weeks ago. I had forgotten about them and they are too sweet to not share.
One day after a lunch, a few weeks ago, Jennifer wanted to hold Kelly. So she climbed up in the chair and I gave her Kelly. A few seconds later, literally a few seconds, Kelly was fast asleep. It was the sweetest thing. Jennifer loved it! Jennifer thought she needed a blanket, she was ready to snuggle in with her sister. Of course when I went to get the camera for a picture Mikayla needed to be in on it too! So my three girls snuggled in for a few moments of pure sweetness.

I never would have thought 10 months ago that Mikayla would ask to hold Kelly. Not only ask, but hold her arms out and insist that she hold her sister! It has been fun to watch Mikayla and her relationship with Kelly grow. This is a great picture of the two of them.
And Mikayla loves Kelly until she starts trying to touch her! Then she is quick to be done and hand or rather push her back over to me.

Let It Snow!

You may think by my title of this blog post that I was excited about the snow this week. You are however mistaken if you think that! I am so tired of the snow! But sadly this week there was no shortage of snow around here.
This was Monday. Snow all morning long. Tuesday and Wednesday were so much nicer. There was sun and melting snow.
Then this afternoon it started snowing again. Oh how sad it was to see. It maybe would have been fun in December to have to blizzard but in February when we are ready for nicer weather so we can be outside a blizzard is not so fun.
Bill decided to venture out when he got home from work and snow plow the driveway a little bit. Of course the girls wanted to go out to. So they got bundled up and headed out. I decided to take Kelly out too! It was her first time out in the snow all winter. Really I just wanted to take her out for a few pictures. I don't girlfriend was too impressed with the snow!
Mikayla could usually give or take playing out in the snow. She does not love it like Jennifer does. I do love this picture of her in the snow though! She looks so happy with the snow.
Every year we try to take a family picture out in the snow. I was thinking we might not get one this year but since we were all out it was the perfect time!
Love this picture of my girls together!
I had to get a few pictures of Kelly by herself in her first pile of snow. It was still snowing when we were outside and it was actually pretty miserable to be out. So like I said before I don't the girl was impressed with the white snow everywhere!

 One almost happy picture!

Hope you all enjoyed a snowy week! I am still dreaming of sunny, warm days...

I'm back

So it has been a while for me! I was going to put some new pictures on here a few weeks ago and when I went to put the pictures from my camera to my camera, my computer wasn't having it. I had too much stuff- really it was just too many pictures- on my computer. So I drug my feet for a few weeks until I finally got it all cleaned up. I do have to admit while I was moving all of my old pictures I was loving it! I was looking at pictures from 2010! Loved seeing my bigger girls as sweet babies again.
Now onto 2014...
This baby girl is growing so much. I love to see all that she is doing and how she is changing. But yet it is sad to think how fast the time has gone, she is quickly approaching a year! Kelly is not crawling but she has a crazy way of getting around, as you can see she got herself under the coffee table, somehow.

It seems that it just keeps snowing and staying cold. I am really getting sick of this winter! On one of the days that it wasn't below zero Bill and the girls were able to get outside to play.
And I just had to include these pictures because they are so stinking cute. One afternoon Jennifer and Mikayla were playing in some empty boxes. So we thought it would be fun to put Kelly in one too. She thought it was so funny!

Is this not the best smile?
And this is a scene that happens almost daily at our house right now. Kelly really is the center of attention lately. Jennifer and Mikayla think it is great to sit in front of her and talk to her. Kelly usually ends up doing a little fake laughing at her sisters. It is fun to watch and hear the three girls together.
Now that my computer is cleaned up and able to take my pictures again it hopefully won't be so long between pictures!

a clown?

This story happened yesterday morning while Jennifer and I were at the store together. After telling Bill the story last night, he told me it was blog worthy. He could not stop laughing. So here is the story of a clown at the grocery store...
I had to run to the grocery yesterday morning for a few things. Jennifer loves to help at the store. When we check out she stands at the end and likes to help bag the groceries. Thankfully the cashier was kind and let her help. And after Jennifer already had one bag done someone came to help bag our groceries and they were kind enough to let Jennifer continue to help. I noticed out of the corner of my eye that someone had come in line behind me. I was too busy making sure Jennifer was okay and getting my money ready to pay that I didn't really notice the person that closely.
Suddenly Jennifer looks at me with a smile and says, "Mom, look it's a clown!" She continued to look at the person next in line. I sort of smiled at Jen, thinking the person had on a colorful coat or something but not really giving it much thought. Jennifer looked me again and said, "A clown." As those words are coming out of her mouth for a second time I see the girl that was helping to bag our groceries. Her eyes got kind of big and she was trying not to laugh. So I turn to look and it was all I could do not to laugh too. The lady behind us had on a lot of make-up! Her cheeks were literally red, as red could be. And her eye shadow was a thick blue, that went probably past her eye brows. I quickly turned back to Jennifer and told her to "SHHH! Honey that is not very nice!" I don't think she quite understood what I meant. To Jennifer the lady really did look like a clown and I must admit to me the lady kind of looked like a clown too. I am really hoping that the lady didn't hear my, speak what's on her mind, child or at least she didn't understand what she said.
You do never know what you will see while at the grocery store, I'm just hoping we don't see that clown again!

One last Christmas

We spent the last two days with Mama and Papa having one last Christmas with family.
The girls were having a hard time waiting for Ben and Conner to get there, so since it was a nice day dad was nice enough to take them outside to play for a little bit. Jennifer really wanted to build an igloo!
We usually try to get a picture of the kids in front of the tree... This was as good as it got this year!
Just a cute picture of a cute baby!
Jennifer and Mikayla got some pretty cool, pink tackle boxes!

 And matching shirts!

I think this picture is sweet! They are waiting so nicely while papa puts a present together.
And then it was time to play!
The kids all got new tackle boxes from mama and papa and the next morning papa had fishing stuff to fill there new boxes with! Now they all just have to wait a few more months for vacation to come so they can put their tackle boxes to good use.
This sweet girl did not get a new tackle box. Although I don't think she seemed to mind. She was busy making plans with mama about what they would in the cabin while everyone else was fishing while on vacation! (Seriously, could this baby girl be any sweeter?!)
And as always before our time together came to an end we had to take a family picture.

Now that all the fun has been had it is time to get back home and back to some sense of normalcy. No more eating junk food all day and being spoiled by grandparents! It was fun while it lasted...
