Mikayla is doing amazingly well!! Seriously I must admit how blown away I am at how well she is doing. Around 11:30 this morning they took her breathing tube out and she did so great. She had no set backs with it and is now breathing on her own beautifully. As I am typing this she is finishing a bottle, it is her second of the day. The sweet thing about her eating is that we get to hold her!! It is a great feeling to get to hold our sweet girl again. They are weaning Mikayla off most of her medicines and she is handling everything so well. She is a little crabby because I think she just wants to eat and be held, she is happy in our arms but a little sad when we have to put her back in her bed. We are hoping that some of her other tubes get to come out tonight. It is just amazing to look at this little girl knowing she had her chest opened up yesterday morning!!
The breathing tube is out and she is wide awake!!
One of the nurses gave Mikayla some toys to play with while she is in her bed, too cute!

I thought she looked good when we left yesturday, but she looks wonderful in these pictures. It is such a blessing to see her get stronger and doing so well so fast.
