Tonight we held our first Trunk or Treat event at the church. It was a great time! If you have never heard of trunk or treat, people decorate the trunks of their vehicle in a parking lot and kids go around from car to car collecting candy. A lot of kids came through the parking lot and a lot of candy was given away!
Before the fun could start there was lots of work that needed to be done. One thing was getting the candy ready to pass out. The wagon is completely full of candy and Jennifer decided she needed to catch a ride with all that candy! Thankfully her friend Brooklyn was willing to let her stay on for a ride.
Jennifer decided a while ago that she was going to be Cinderella and wear her pink longer dress. She was thrilled to see Ms. Leah dressed up as a princess too and in a purple dress besides! Leah was gracious enough to take a princess picture with my princesses.
The costumes you pick to wear are really suppose to go along with the theme you choose to decorate your vehicle in but that didn't happen for us. Our van was a beach theme with cowgirl princesses! Our friend's Chris and Rylee helped up decorate our van and hand out candy. Rylee was dressed up according to the theme of the van. The three girls ready to hand out and get some candy!
Jennifer loved, loved handing out candy, for a while anyway. She would not wait for the kids to make it to her she would make her way to them and started off by giving everyone two or three pieces of candy. It was kind of sweet to watch her. But after a while she had enough of me and joined a few cars down the way and spent most of the rest of the evening going back and forth (she really wanted to hang out at the real princess car). That was part of the fun though watching everyone have fun together!
It got kind of chilly out there tonight and by the time we got home my Kayla girl was done for. She didn't have a nap today and was just plain tired. But she was nice enough to let me take few more pictures before she had officially had enough.
Hope you all had a great time Trick or Treating, we sure did!
